Romans 12:12  Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am sure it has been a difficult time for all of you. Since the announcement of the outbreak of the coronavirus, even our spiritual lives have been affected. There are no masses celebrated, and no public gatherings are possible. The constant media coverage certainly does not ease the continual background noise tinted by the looming threat. Also, in my personal experience, I cannot recall a Sunday when I did not celebrate the Holy Mass with the parish. It is undoubtedly a difficult time. Despite it all, in my heart, I am convinced that the Lord is behind it all. After a time of trial, a storm, a deluge there is the light and calm. God is preparing us for the great feast of Easter, the feast of the resurrection. I don’t know about you, but I had a hard time finding something to give up for Lent. What irony, God did it for me! In this Lent, the Lord made it evident – you will fast from the Eucharist and the Mystical Body present in your spiritual children. The Lent of 2020 will be the one I will never forget! I pray that this time, which is undoubtedly a time of conversion, help you and me to come back to the Lord with our whole heart and me not taking His Love for granted anymore. Have faith, do not be afraid, and love one another!

Miss you all very much! Stay safe!
In Christ,

Fr. Michal
